Its been a while....

WOW! I can not believe that its been this long since I have posted. So many things have happend in the past few months! I can not believe that my once 2 pound baby is now 17 lbs and 28 1/4 inch long! He also has 6 teeth! Wow, where does the time go? Jaxon is starting to attempted to stand all by himself unsupported and walking all around the couch, he crawls so fast around the house chasing the dog all over the place! I am still loving my new job, except when I am on the phones...yuck!!! I am so blessed to have a such a great family and amazing miracle baby! I love being a momma and would not trade it for anything! I Love my boys so much and give thanks to god everyday! It was a rough month this past month as Jeff and an uncle that he was really close to pass away very unexpectedly. We really dont know what happend, he was 53 years old and healthy as far as we knew. It came as a shock one evening. But if her was suffering, we know that he is in a better place now! Jeff is getting a long a bit better now.
I have learned a few new things since becoming a mother. One thing I have learned is how to have super quick reflexes. When Jaxon drinks he feels the need to throw his cup straight onto the floor, I dont think so SUPER MOM is here...haha. He is getting better and placing the sippy onto the tabel most of the time, but sometimes is lands on the floor (not if mom has anything to do with it!). Another thing, dont sweat the small things, puke is puke and just that. Get a rag, wipe it up, and keep going one. PEOPLE its just spit, babies do that ya know. Its interesting to me how people get so worked up when a baby has a little bit of slobber. They always feel the need to grab a napkin and wipe his face...get over it, its just spit! I have learned so many things, but most of all it how to love that boy so much! I have never loved someone so much until my baby Jaxon was born. Now I could not imagine life without him!

Here are some new phonts and a cute video...ENJOY!!!!

A warm October day

This past weekend was so much fun! We got to go see Jaxon's Great Great Aunt Oleta! She is 90 years old, what a great life accomplishment! I wanna be like her when I get to be that age, I wanna live to be 90 + years old! Lucky for me, both my grandma's are strong old women, I think I have a great chance of living a long life! So after visiting Aunt Oleta, we took a long drive to Princeton Illinois! One of Jeff's cousins got married, what a great weekend for a wedding! They got married at a country club! They had ceremony right on the colf course outside! The wedding was right at sunset so it was still really warm out, and the reception was very nice! The bride looked beautiful and very happy! I wish them a long happy life! Then Sunday we got to take a long walk around town and enjoy the beautiful weather!
Jaxon loved playing at the park! We sat him down in the leaves and he loved it! I did snap a few pictures! Enjoy!!!

Whoa...where did your hair go Jaxon!

Well, Jaxon's hair started to get a bit shabby. It was starting to grow down over his ears, and was looking a little bit sloppy! So...momma and daddy decided that it was time that he get his first haircut. We took Jeffs hair cutting shears and cut off Jaxons hair. He looks a little bit different/strange, but I am sure he is much cooler. And it looks much neater also!!!

The total amount of hair we cut off!

The after!

So daddy needed to look the same!

Sweet home Alabama

Last week we took our first family vacation! We traveled to Alabama to visit some family and took a couple days to go visit the Country Music Capital of the world...Nashville!!! We Drove down last Saturday, 8.20.2011, we left about 3pm and arrived about 1am. Jaxon did good the entire drive. My family lives about 1.5 hours from Nashville, so total 8 hours with no stops! It worked out that we left around nap time and then stopped for dinner around 6pm, then he played in the car for a bit and fell asleep about 8pm and slept the rest of the way! Then on the way home he was a charm. We left around 10am, on 8.27.2011, he watched a couple movies and played and slept. A bit whinny from time to time, so we stopped and stretched and then back on the road! Got home about 930pm. Well, while we were there we got to go see the amazing country side of Alabama, it was so pretty. We pretty much relaxed the first couple days and visited with family, and just went to a few local places - like the mall and a flea market! It was a lot of fun! Then on Thursday we spent the afternoon in Nashville! It was a lot of fun! We took a tour of the Ryman, the very first home of the Grand Ole Opry. We really liked it! Our tour guide had been there since the late 60's and had all sorts of insider stories! It was to bad that our tour was limited in time, he could only tell a few stories! It was still neat that we got to see all sorts of old pictures! Then we walked around a bit and headed home! Then we went back on Friday. We spent Friday afternoon at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It was really cool, they had old time stuff and a whole bunch of newer/more recent star stuff! It was really cool, to bad we forgot out camera...haha! We also walked down the main road and ate dinner at Margarettaville. We had a lot of fun and it was very nice to relax and not be thinking about work! But...back to work tomorrow.
Well...here are a few picture we did get! Enjoy!

The birthday boy

Happy birthday to my sweat baby boy Jaxon. Wow, its hard to believe that one year ago today I was discharged home from the hospital and had to leave my precious baby lying there in hospital. Leaving him laying there in that isolette, with a ventilator, scared and not really sure what was going on. What had happened just a few short days before? Well to start, on July 7th 2010 I was at work and all was going well. All the sudden, yikes I was having some strange cramping and some interesting back pain. In just a few short hours my water had broken. WHAT, I was only 20 week and 5 days along, this is not supposed to be happening. I was not even viable, my baby was not going to make it. Jeff and I were so scared. NO....we were all fighters, we were tough! I had to lay in bed for 29 days, strict bedrest! I would have done it for 29 more if I had to. Then on 8.5.2010 my handsome miracle baby was born. Jaxon Edward came into this world on a sunny Thursday afternoon at 4:59pm. It was the happiest, yet scariest, day of my life!
The night he was born Jeff and I lay there in the hospital, we could hardly sleep. Every 30 minutes one of us would say, wow we are parents...we have a baby boy...he is our baby...we are parents! We just could not believe it! We were so excited and very blessed to have made it to 25 weeks and 6 days! The next 100 days were the most stressful days of our lives, but...we made it and Jaxon finally came home on November 13th 2010.
So, here we are a year later and enjoying being parents. Our baby is perfect in every way! He is starting to crawl and babble a little bit. He is saying mom and dadadada....its so amazing! He is developmentally right where he should be!
We had a great weekend, we had a sesame street birthday party! I was great! Jaxon is GREAT!
I LOVE BEING A MOMMA!
Here are some pictures of his birthday party! ENJOY!!!
